Overview

The FRINSO V1.0 CGWA/CPCB variant is a rugged Industry 4.0 IoT Edge gateway purpose-built for statutory telemetry. It collects water abstraction, groundwater level, and quality metrics from meters and sensors, validates them on-device, and securely publishes to CGWA/CPCB endpoints as per prescribed intervals, while also serving enterprise dashboards.

Key Features

  • Meter Integrations

Modbus flow meters, pulse meters, piezometers, WQ sensors (pH/TDS/EC/DO).

  • Sampling & Push

Locally configurable sampling (e.g., 1–15 min) and push intervals as per guidelines.

  • Govt. API Ready

Native integrations for CGWA/CPCB; retry, ACK tracking, and audit trails.

  • Power Resilience

Wide 9–36 VDC input, brownout protection, data buffering during outages.

  • Tamper Evident

Covers door open, meter disconnect, SIM/antenna removal, RTC drift.

  • Remote Ops

OTA updates, remote diagnostics, logs, and provisioning from Frinso Cloud.

Supported Sensors & Meters

Flow Meters

CGWA / CPCB Compliance

  • Sampling & Push: Configurable (typ. 5–15 min sampling; 15–60 min push) as per circular/consent.
  • Data Retention: Local buffer & encrypted storage; automatic backfill on link restore.
  • Tamper: Meter disconnect, enclosure open, RTC drift, SIM/antenna removal, power events.
  • Reports: Daily/Monthly abstracts for audits; CSV/JSON exports.

Installation

  1. Mount IP65 enclosure near meter/piezometer; ensure antenna clearance.
  2. Wire RS-485/analog/digital lines per labels; verify polarity and shielding.
  3. Insert SIM(s), set APN; power-on with 12/24 VDC supply.
  4. Provision via local web UI; select sensors, sampling, and CGWA/CPCB endpoint keys.
  5. Run test push and confirm ACK/status on portal.

Operations & Alarms

  • • On-device thresholds for dry-run, abnormal level/flow, sensor fault.
  • • SMS/Email/Push via Frinso Cloud; webhook to plant SCADA.
  • • Watchdog, auto-recovery, link failover (SIM-A → SIM-B → Wi-Fi/Ethernet).

Security

  • • TLS 1.2+ to portals; device & server certs; key rotation.
  • • Secure boot, signed firmware; role-based users; audit logs.
  • • Encrypted buffers at rest; brute-force lockout; optional tamper switch.

Cloud & Reports

Frinso Cloud

Dashboards, alarms, device management, reports (daily, monthly, abstract), exports.

Integrations

MQTT/REST to enterprise systems; push mirrors to customer SCADA/ERP.

FAQ

Will it work if the site loses internet?

Yes. Data is buffered locally and auto-backfilled when connectivity returns.

How frequently does it send data?

As per consent order—commonly 15–60 minutes (configurable).

Can we view data on our own portal?

Yes. We mirror to Frinso Cloud and can forward to your SCADA/ERP via APIs.

Is enclosure outdoor-ready?

Yes—IP65 model with gland sealing, surge-protected power.
